Creation Entertainment Bring Supernatural To Phoenix

As far as conventions go, the Supernatural convention is by far one of the more niche ones around. The convention circuit itself is put together by Creation Entertainment and I say it is run very smoothly. They do tickets by tiers which guarantee what seat you will get that is if you get any tickets from the Gold, Silver, or Copper packages. These packages are expensive, however, they include autograph sessions depending on the package. If you just get general admission you have seating section in the back the setting is definitely intimate, with a small stage up front holding all the major events, and the hallway outside holding a ton of merch. While most conventions are loud, bustling and full of people in cosplay, this convention was extremely calm and structured.

This is definitely specific to hardcore fans. With a lineup that mixes Q and As, fan events, and autograph sessions it’s a tightly packed schedule. One of the actors is an actual host the event has a fun feel to it and as all convention goers understand, there is nothing like a good Q and A. The various actors in attendance make this event fun, with witty responses. The one thing I found strange is the lack of cosplay. Most conventions are filled with people who are dressed up in their favorite characters costumes, but here I have only seen one cosplay. The convention itself is very quiet and nowhere near the level of Phoenix Comic Con. There is however the close environment that encapsulates the feeling of how conventions first started out.

Friday was the first day of the convention with karaoke later in the night and side actor Q and As. The assigned seating area was filled with avid fans waiting for the festivities to start. Louden Swain was playing during the off time and there were trivia and other various games as well. Saturday kicked off with a higher attendance count. With a higher energy as well, bigger stars made their Q and A debuts with Mark Sheppard, and Misha Collins later in the day. The atmosphere is still very fan-centric, with fan made music videos in between Q and A’s. I was not there for Sunday which had Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki but I’m sure it was packed! This convention was definitely one a kind! I would recommend this convention to die hard Supernatural fans; for the general public I would just stick to Phoenix Comic Con.
