Overpaint

It’s always the seemingly easy games that trick you into an addiction. Overpaint by Landka is deceptively simple in the early levels but before you get bored dragging colors around to clear levels, suddenly it’s trickier and not that simple anymore.

What’s even more challenging about Overpaint is it’s not a matter of speed, but efficiency. You have all the time in the world to complete each level but every move counts. If you’re anything like me, I don’t like moving on to the next level until I get 100% or 3 stars, and sometimes that takes multiple tries.

As Landka states, the goal is simple: drag-and-drop the squares over the matching circles to clear them. The circles of color are in various, constant motion that require some study before you make your moves. You’re allotted a certain number of moves to complete the challenge and the fewer moves used, the higher your score. Each level shares a fact about color, so it’s not only challenging but also educational – a perfect time waster that doesn’t make you feel like you wasted time at all.
