This just in – Eugene and I went to the red carpet at TARGET & STAR WARS GALACTIC EXPERIENCE AT L.A. LIVE. There we got to see the Southern California Garrison, 501st Legion dressed as Darth Vader and Storm Troopers. Our Favorite, Shawn Crosby was there to greet people dressed as ObiWan.
The event was free and open to the public. Highlights were:
LEGO Master Builders Dome – Be among the first to help LEGO Master Builders create “The Force Awakens” TIE Fighters. While there, they were building a new space fighter from the movie The Force Awakens. The guy building it had been working for Lego for over 20 years. He doesn’t call his job ‘work’, as he really loves what he’s doing.
Galactic History Dome – Take an exclusive journey through Rancho Obi-Wan’s collection – some of the coolest and rarest Star Wars products and memories in the history of the franchise – Rancho Obi-Wan, had the largest Star Wars collection in the world. While at the dome, he had C3P0, R2D2, original (in the sleeves) collectibles of storm troopers, Darth Vaders, the Commander, and so much more. Not only that, you could visit his just North of San Francisco with nearly 10,000 square feet of Star Wars Memorabilia.
Use the Force Dome – The Force is strong in this dome! Use the Force, for real. Battle your opponents and race across the desert to BB-8. This allowed for a device to be put on your head and let you use mind control by moving a ball on the planet of Tatooine from point A to point B.

Experts taught you how to make your own Star Wars origami from scratch.
The final experience, was a dome that showed parts from the original movies in 3D (no glasses needed. You saw battle ships, asteroid fields and of course listened to the music by John Williams. The whole show was about three minutes long.
This is experience was a great, fun day to be had by all. After all, you cannot go wrong with a Star Wars exclusive right before the release of The Force Awakens.
