Dallas Comic Con 2016

Dallas Comic Con June 3-5, 2016. The con was held at the Dallas Convention Center, and had a fantastic turn out from guests as well as fans. The show featured headliners like Stan Lee and William Shatner, and also included: Peter Capaldi, Hayley Atwell, Chloe Bennet, Kevin Smith, John Cusack, Lucy Hale, George Takei, Rob Schneider, Jack Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Katie Cassidy, Jon Bernthal, Candice King, Jenna Coleman, James & Oliver Phelps, Michelle Gomez, Candice Patton, Nichelle NIchols, Freema Agyeman, Arthur Darvill, Elden Henson, Amy Acker, Jeremy Bulloch, Jason Mewes, and Curtis Armstrong. Comic artist including: Todd McFarlane, Frank Miller, J. Scott Campbell, Leinil Francis Yu, Joe Madureira, Humberto Ramos, Dan Slott, Andy Kubert, Brian Azzarello, Jim Cheung, Neal Adams, Klaus Janson, Dave Johnson, Ryan Ottley, Greg Pak and Scott Lobdell. Anime and Animation guests included: Steve Blum, Mary McGlynn, Mike McFarland, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Jamie Marchi, Trina Nishimura, Bryce Papenbrook, Kari Wahlgren, Monica Rial, Chris Sabat, Sean Schemmel, Veronica Taylor, Eric Vale, Kevin Conroy, Tom Kenny, James Arnold Taylor, Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, and Richard Horvitz. We had a nice turn out of our cosplay favorites like Leeanna Vamp, Kristen Hughey, Alexia Jean Grey, Ivy Doomkitty, Ireland Reid, Jennifer Van Damsel, Rosanna Rocha, Krystle Starr, Cecil Grimes, Silly Little Missy, Callie Cosplay, Mcubed Cosplay, Calen Hoffman, Turtle Power Entertainment and Spock Vegas. William Shatner kicked off the weekend with a Q&A session, and then it was followed by photo ops, autographs, lots of cosplay, and of course, plenty of goodies to buy.
There Were more Celebrity Q&A sessions with: Hayley Atwell, Mike McFarland, Jenna Coleman, Jeremy Bulloch, Christopher Sabat, Katie Cassidy, Tom Kenny, Eric Vale, Elden Henson & Jon Bernthal, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Jennifer Hale, Peter Capaldi, Trina Nishimura, Candice Patton, Steve Blum, Freema Agyeman, Frank Miller, Rob Schneider, Curtis Armstrong, John Cusack, Anthony Daniels, Amy Acker, Jamie Marchi, Michelle Gomez, Arthur Darvill, Bill Farmer, James & Oliver Phelps, George Takei and a special event: Jay & Silent Bob Get Old. Anime Q&A with Bryce Papenbrook, Sean Schemmel, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and Veronica Taylor. Cosplay Q&A with Ivy Doomkitty. Learn to speak Klingon session with Dr. Marc Okrand, a Star Wars: Rebels Discussion with Steve Blum and Learn How Working Droids are Made from Southern R2 Builders. Throughout the con there were Speed Dating Sessions and panels with everything from Star Wars Universe Comic Creator Spotlights features Stan Lee, Todd McFarlane and others, Cosplay Panels and of course cosplay contests. Each night ended with an off the hook after party where everyone got a chance to let loose.
The wide range of quests and entertainment made it a great event that continues to grow and has become of the top Pop Culture events in the country.
