Alien: Covenant

  • Colonist Certification Test (Booth 3529): Those who enter the test will be subjected to rigorous standards like the crew of the Covenant had to endure, specifically testing their ability to handle tense situations. Upon completion of their assessment, guests will receive their own “Colonist Certification Badge,” and a set of collectible pins from Weyland-Yutani and the Covenant.
  • Weyland Industries Egg Transport (Gaslamp Area): Be on the lookout for a team of Weyland-Yutani guards transporting Alien eggs outside of the convention center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Those who take a photo with the transport and tweet using the hashtag #AlienSweepstakes will be entered to win an authentic Alien: Covenant replica Facehugger.   • Alien: Covenant Pre-Order (Booth 3529): Pre-order on Blu-ray for a numbered 8” x 11” lithograph sketch of David’s Lab while supplies last. Alien: Covenant is available Digital HD August 1 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD August 15.

Fox Goes Vinyl

    • Limited-Edition Vinyl Sets (Booth 4229): Available for Logan, Deadpool, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes; each set includes the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD and a vinyl copy of the motion picture soundtrack. “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”

      • 20 Years of Slaying Fan Event (Side Bar): Gather your Scooby gang on Saturday, 6:00 – 9:00pm for an epic night at “The Bronze” to celebrate the iconic series’ 20th anniversary. Activities to include fandom trivia, a cosplay contest, “Once More, With Feeling!” improv, photo opps with The Gentlemen and much more!
      • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition Pre-Sale (Booth 4229): The entire series will be available in a new collector’s set on September 19. Pre-order for an exclusive Dark Horse Buffy comic book that will ship inside the boxset.

War for the Planet of the Apes

      • Andy Serkis Fan Signing (Booth 4229): The critically acclaimed actor who brought Caesar to life will sign limited edition mini posters on Saturday, 10:30 – 11:15am.
      • “Witness the End”: Snap a photo and post to Instagram using #ApesMosaic, and your picture may be included in a mosaic of exclusive Planet of the Apes franchise art, to be revealed at the Fox Fanfare Booth on Saturday.

      • “The Strain”: Collectible DVD O-ring art as well as poster featuring the artwork of the season purchased.
      • “Archer” Spy Kit: The Most Extraordinary Spy Kit Ever returns to Comic-Con featuring Seasons 1-7 on DVD, mustache sunglasses, tuxedo t-shirt, six collectible stickers and a “Danger Zone” shot glass.
      • “Legion”: Pre-order Season 1 on Blu-ray to receive a limited-edition collectible screen-print poster. While supplies last.
      • Phoenix Forgotten: The first 500 pre-orders will receive an exclusive glow-in-the-dark mini poster. Phoenix Forgotten is available on Digital HD July 18 and on Blu-ray and DVD August 1.

      • The Princess Bride: Visitors dressed in Princess Bride cosplay will receive a free collectible poster in honor of the film’s 30th Anniversary while supplies last.

    • Predator Official Fan App (Convention Center): Spot the Predator roaming around Comic-Con and download the new Predator Official Fan App, an interactive “superfan” destination for Young Bloods. Those who encounter Predator will have an opportunity to collect a limited-edition mini poster. Did we mention he’s a WiFi Hotspot?
    • Piggy Man Cosplayer (Gaslamp District): Watch your back! The infamous Piggy Many will be roaming the show floor, inspiring both screams and selfies. “American Horror Story: Roanoke” comes to Blu-ray October 3.
    • Vikings Street Team (Gaslamp District): San Diego gets a Norse invasion as a horde of marauding Vikings roams the streets of the Gaslamp giving temporary tattoos to lucky fans. “Vikings” Season 4 Volume 2 lands on Blu-ray in October.
    • The Boss Baby Costume Character (Convention Center): The only way to do Comic-Con is like a boss! A Boss Baby costume character will be on hand in the convention center handing out SDCC exclusive cardboard ties.
