Great Stuff Is Coming To SeaWorld: San Diego In May

Lots of great stuff ahead at SeaWorld San Diego.

VIVA LA MÚSICA IS BACK: SeaWorld guests can spice it up this spring during the return of
Viva La Música presented by Coca-Cola. The popular Latin music series will feature four
weekends of live performances from award-winning regional Mexican musical artists, plus
special culinary offerings, a live DJ and community dancers, all in a family-friendly atmosphere
flavored with the fiery flair of Hispanic culture. Viva La Música, included with park admission,*
takes place weekends May 4–5, May 11–12 and May 18–19 and June1–2, 2019. *Park admission
does not guarantee concert entry. Wristband is required; distribution takes place when park opens.
PAMPER MOM WITH BRUNCH AT SEAWORLD: Looking for a unique way to pamper
mom on May 12? SeaWorld’s Mother’s Day Brunch with Killer Whales is just the ticket!
Mother’s Day Brunch with Killer Whales is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a special
poolside meal just feet away from SeaWorld’s family of killer whales, while learning about
the whales’ natural behaviors and the special bond between adult whales and their young.
The all-you-can-eat buffet features sustainable, organic, seasonal or locally-grown
ingredients prepared by SeaWorld’s culinary team.

Advance reservations are strongly
recommended, but day-of reservations may be made if space is available. For more
information call (619) 222-4SEA or visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com.
TIDAL TWISTER SET TO DEBUT: On May 24, Tidal Twister, SeaWorld’s dueling,
figure-8 coaster, debuts to the public! Accelerating to 30 miles per hour, riders will
twist and bank as if they are riding the tide along a tight, figure-8 track that includes
dynamic Zero-G roll at the center section. Two trains, holding 16 passengers each, will
load at opposite ends of the figure-8 and cross in the center with guests facing both
forward and backward on the trains. In addition to the ride, this new attraction will
feature a display of ornamental fish that will serve to educate park guests about
Rising Tide Conservation. Started by SeaWorld in 2009, Rising Tide Conservation is
dedicated to developing and promoting aquaculture of marine ornamental fish,
providing a sustainable alternative to wild fish collection, which can result in
tremendous damage to the coral reefs where they live. Aquaria: World of Fishes will
include an aquarium that will be home to thousands of fish representing more than a
dozen species, including yellow tang and harlequin tuskfish.

IT’S ALMOST TIME TO SPLASH AT AQUATICA: Aquatica SeaWorld’s Waterpark will be
back to make a splash for a seventh season starting May 24, with a combination of thrills, a
serene beachside resort atmosphere and up-close animal encounters. Among more than a
dozen attractions are Taumata Racer, a thrilling mat-racer water slide; Big Surf Shores, a
large wave pool, lined by an expansive sandy beach; several children’s play areas including
Walkabout Waters and Slippity Dippity; Tassie’s Twister, a multi-person raft that sends
riders through thousands of gallons of swirling water before dropping them into a six-story
funnel; and Loggerhead Lane, which offers a leisurely float down a winding lazy river, with
a view of Caribbean flamingos along the way. Aquatica is located at 2052 Entertainment
Circle in Chula Vista. www.AquaticaSanDiego.com.

SEAWORLD CELEBRATES MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: SeaWorld will celebrate
Memorial Day Weekend with fireworks and fanfare! On Monday (May 27), the day will
start off with a special flag ceremony at Explorer’s Reef; throughout the weekend, veterans
will receive special recognition prior to Orca Encounter presentations; and SeaWorld will
present special fireworks displays on Saturday and Sunday evening (May 25–26).
