Deck of Ashes is a pretty typical deck builder game in terms of mechanics. There are several aspects that set this apart besides the interesting storyline and graphics.
You can choose to play in different modes such as Adventure or Campaign. You start out with a basic set of cards that require Mana (energy) to use. With more experience, you are able to upgrade the card by using recipes found and customize your deck to your personalized gameplay style. As with all deck games, it starts out a little slow but ramp up as you work your way through the map.
Overall this game is interesting and fun.
