Without Remorse Is An Entertaining Mix Of Action And Political Thriller

The latest film based on Tom Clancy’s writing “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse” is arriving on Amazon Prime after being purchased from Paramount.

The film stars Michael B. Jordan as John Kelly; an elite Navy SEAL who takes part in a mission overseas where the target and objective becomes more explosive on the political stage then they had been lead to believe.

After returning home; John looks forward to the pending arrival of his first child and looks forward to life as a devoted husband and father. John his plans derailed when his team is targeted and killed and John is left clinging to life after an attack at his home.

As time passes and John begins a difficult rehab; it is learned that foreign figures are linked to the attacks and that the pieces are being moved to pit the United States and Russia against one another as tensions have been increasing.

With the help of fellow SEAL and a Government Agent; John leads a team on a secret mission to get to the truth and in doing so; uncovers a plot which could threaten the very country he has sworn to defend.

The film has some good action sequences though the focus is more on character development and political intrigue. There is some good supporting work from Jodie Turner-Smith and Jamie Bell; and the film sets the stage very well for future films in the series.

While the film was in limbo due to Covid; the move to Amazon should ensure that the film will be given a great chance to find an audience which bodes well especially since Amazon has had great success with their Jack Ryan series which is also based on Tom Clancy’s work.

In the end the political thriller has just enough action to give fans what they want and the movie providers for an entertaining distraction.
