Blaze Entertainment is delighted to announce the first in a new line of cartridges for Evercade systems. Home computer platform games will now be available on Evercade collections, starting with THEC64 Collection 1. The first in a new collection based on THEC64 licensed games from Retro Games Ltd.

This first collection will feature 14 classic games from the 1980s home computer scene. In partnership with Retro Games Ltd, Blaze Entertainment has been able to provide 7 titles based on the popular THEC64 Mini console and 7 more games for the first time.

The full games list is:

  • Alleykat
  • Battle Valley
  • Gateway to Apshai
  • Impossible Mission
  • Iridis Alpha
  • Jumpman
  • Lee
  • Marauder
  • The Movie Monster Game
  • Street Sports Baseball
  • Stormlord
  • Subterranea
  • Summer Games
  • Winter Games

Many of the games hold a special place in the hearts of THEC64 and Evercade fans, with classics like Lee and Impossible Mission sitting alongside cult classics like The Movie Monster Game and the Summer/Winter Games series.

The new partnership also means that more collections will come in 2023 for THEC64 as well as the potential for other home computer platforms to come to Evercade in future. The release will also differ from our current Evercade line up, being presented in a distinct blue colour scheme to differentiate it between our home console (red) and arcade (purple) line ups.

The new collection, like all Evercade releases, will come on a physical cartridge, compatible with all Evercade systems running the latest available firmware. It will come in a collectible clamshell case with a full colour manual and be numbered 01 for this new range.

As part of Evercade’s mission to bring the classic gaming experience back to users, or to those discovering it for the first time, this new line helps to bring another dimension and another avenue of retro gaming that could be difficult to access for many. The ability to plug an Evercade cartridge into a system and go, with save states and seamless playability means that anyone, new or old, a fan or someone new discovering THEC64, can easily enjoy playing these games.
