Star Wars: The Bad Batch Delivers What Fans Want In Season Two

The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch arrives on Disney+ today and kicks off the second season of 16 episodes.

I was given access to the first fourteen episodes and fans of the series will be happy with what the new season offers. There are some new and interesting characters to go along with some old favorites and a return of a special guest from The Clone Wars which will add more intrigue to the already complicated mix.

The new season finds the batch trying to find their place in a changing galaxy as the Empire exerts control over more and more systems and the fate of the Clones who served the Republic becomes murky as the Empire looks to replace them with a new army.

One Senator who is fighting for the rights of the Clones becomes entangled in a deadly and complicated game when she learns that the Empire was behind the destruction of Kamino in the Season 1 finale and there are even greater dangers ahead for Crosshair who finds his loyalties divided due to the Empire’s reduced acceptance and use of Clones.

Along the way there are stand-alone episodes that at first do not seem to advance the storylines but do seem to be planting threads that may be revisited at a later date.

It will be interesting to see what the final two episodes will cover but suffice it to say that Season 2 offers fans more of what made the first season so enjoyable and a good mix of action and storylines that expand the Star Wars mythos.
