Disneyland Celebrates The Opening Of The Pixar Place Hotel

Looking forward to seeing this as we stayed there a few times before the remodel.

Pixar Place Hotel opened today, Jan. 30, at Disneyland Resort, officially marking the transformation of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel into the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. The 15-story high-rise overlooking Disney California Adventure Park features reimagined accommodations that celebrate the artistry of Pixar Animation Studios, plus upgraded amenities such as new rooftop recreation areas, an expanded fitness center and more.

Character artwork, concept renderings and more illustrating stories such as “Finding Nemo,” “Inside Out,” “Soul” and more are displayed throughout. Some of the art was created by Pixar Animation Studios artists especially for Pixar Place Hotel.

Guests at Pixar Place Hotel may encounter characters at select times. Joe Gardner from “Soul” may be found playing the piano near the lobby staircase, and appearing for the first time at any Disney property, Bing Bong from “Inside Out” makes his debut at the hotel.

The creativity and comfort of Pixar Place Hotel is also reflected in new, upscale dining locations operated by Southern California-based Great Maple: the ground floor Great Maple restaurant, The Sketch Pad Café lobby coffee shop and, opening in early March, the Small Bytes rooftop pool bar.

Overnight stays at Pixar Place Hotel offer special Disneyland Resort Hotel benefits, such as early theme park entry and convenient access to Disney California Adventure Park through the hotel’s dedicated entrance across the street. Park admission and reservations are required for park entry.
