I guess this is better than a buggy release.
Blue Isle Studios and Perp Games today announce that Slender: The Arrival VR, the upcoming VR version of Slender: The Arrival – 10th Anniversary Edition, has officially been delayed until later in 2025.
The teams are incredibly excited to bring this iconic experience to VR, yet remain committed to ensuring the game delivers the most polished and frightening encounter possible. As a result, the release of Slender: The Arrival VR will be moved to later this year, following an initial launch date of May 13th on PSVR2, Meta Quest, and PCVR. This extra time will allow the developers to fine-tune every aspect of the game, ensuring that players are plunged into a truly unforgettable and utterly horrifying VR experience.
Originally released as an expansion of the groundbreaking indie sensation Slender: The Eight Pages, Slender: The Arrival became the official video game adaptation of the chilling Slender Man mythos. Already known for its relentless tension and spine-tingling encounters, the VR version of Slender: The Arrival – 10th Anniversary Edition will offer players even more immersive and heart-pounding sensations of truly being alone in the darkness with the looming threat of the Slender Man over your shoulder.
Rob Edwards, CEO of Perp Games, comments: “Slender: The Arrival VR aims to be the definitive survival horror experience. To meet this high standard for our launch, we’ve made the difficult decision to slightly delay the game’s release. We are aiming to avoid any lengthy slippages as we understand that fans of this iconic figure in horror folklore are excited to play the game. Our dedicated team is working diligently to ensure we do Slender Man justice when he is unleashed across PSVR2, Meta Quest, and PCVR a little later this year.”
