Lilo & Stitch Is A Loving Update For The Whole Family

The latest Live-Action film from Disney has arrived with “Lilo & Stitch” and provides a loving and updated version of the beloved story.

When a genetic experiment designed to cause destruction and as a consequence is banished, Experiment 626 escapes and makes his way to Earth with his creator and an agent hot on his heels to retrieve him.

Lilo (Maia Kealoha) and her sister Nani (Sydney Agudong) are dealing with the loss of their parents and struggling to keep together as Nani has difficulty holding work, attending to the house, and taking care of her sister. All of this makes Lilo likely to be taken in by the system and causes Lilo to not have friends and struggle to find her place.

The arrival of Experiment 626 results in immediate chaos and he finds himself in a Animal Shelter where he meets Lilo and bonds with her in an attempt to gain protection from his potential captors as he knows they are not able to identify themselves nor harm humans.

This creates some comedic mayhem as the Alien duo try to pass themselves off as human using technology to visually look human despite their complete lack of understanding about how things work.

Along the way Lilo and the newly renamed Stitch bond and soon form a close connection and even win over the reluctant Nani even though they consider him some kind of dog.

What follows is a charming, silly, and entertaining adventure that while clearly aimed for a younger audience, still has enough heart to make adults smile and enjoy the adventure despite having a very simplistic plot that does take some liberty with the source material as it is clearly aiming to appeal to a new generation of youth who may find elements of the original out of time.

In the end the movie charms and the leads are charming and a joy as are the supporting cast which makes the movie a fun adventure for the whole family.
