Neil Calls The WeedHacker Massacre: Close To Unwatchable

Greetings & Salutations, Fellow Movie Enthusiasts, It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? This is going to be a challenging one.

The reason is that there were individuals associated with this movie who clearly endeavored to produce something resembling a horror movie, but developed into what I can only describe as a mess.

Perhaps it’s just me, because the film has garnered over half a dozen awards at various film festivals. I can give you my opinion, of course, but ultimately, the viewer will be the judge. The ‘WeedHacker Massacre’ stars Allen Danziger, David Treviño, Molly Sakonchick, BobbieGrace, Nora Hunter, Hannah Hufford, Marc Salvato, Ron Olivera, Mike Gassaway, ConnieGreen, Fritz Reinig, Leanne Smithers, Sean Reyna, Jeannie Carter-Cruz, Paul James, RaulLiendo, Mike Reyna, Samantha Mccue, Thep Tan, Sarah James, Matthew Pervis, RaymondKirkland, Allen Granger, Jessica Youmans, Addison Crank, Parrish Randall, Jess Whittenton, Jon Fisher, Lettie Dyer, Kim Sherman, Ilona Neider, and Shera Eichler. The film’s synopsis centers around the filming of a ‘bad’ horror movie based on the quote‘WeedHacker Massacre’.

Chaos ensues when the supposed perpetrators of the original massacre are thought to be responsible for harassing the cast and crew of the horror movie on which the massacre is based. And ‘yes’, the entirety of the story originally began as a violent dispute over a marijuana crop. If the name Allan Danziger sounds familiar, that’s because he was one of the stars of the original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’.

One of the most celebrated and venerated horror films of all time. He also happens to be co-creator and executive producer of ‘The WeedHackerMassacre’. You would imagine that someone with those impeccable credentials would participate in a project that had great potential. I’m not saying it had to measure up to one of the greatest horror films in the history of cinema, but I have to confess that I found THIS film to be pretty close to unwatchable. Not because of gore or fear. It had a well-assembled cast and good production, but I just couldn’t get into it. It was scary. It wasn’t gory. It wasn’t even funny to me, to be honest. I REALLY want to find something about this film that I liked. As I mentioned earlier, I could be wrong. I would be the first to admit it if I am. It was a challenge to sit throughthough.

On a 1 to 4 scale, I would only give it 1 and a half.
