Based on the 1967 incidents at Glacier National Park, “Grizzly Night” chronicles the shocking deaths of two 19-year-old women in separate Grizzly Bear attacks at the park.
While no attacks had occurred in the 57-year history of the park, the two mailings deaths caused a series of events that put Grizzly Bears on the endangered list and caused a series of conservation and park rules to be enacted for safety.
While a previous movie and book chronicled the incidents, this new take offers viewers a fresh take.
The biggest issue I had was the dark setting of the night setting made it difficult to fully see what was happening, but the audio and implied carnage were very effective.
The movie is a nice take on the creature carnage films, as it did not go overboard on excessive gore and focused on the characters and storyline to deliver an effective and engaging story.
