PIONEERTOWN, CA (June 25, 2026) – It’s been an amazing year for The Tiny Chef Show … and the next 12 months are already showing the promise of even bigger and better for the beloved, five-time Emmy Award-winning stop-motion animated series.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of Chef’s popular show being cancelled, obviously a low point for all involved – but that stumble ignited even more imagination and ingenuity from the series’ creative team. The Tiny Chef Show team went into overdrive, first announcing the cancellation with a heartfelt, personal response from Cheffy that drew worldwide attention, and then initiating a year-long campaign to keep Chef’s story alive and growing.
“This show is a true labor of love for our small-but-mighty team, and we know how much Chef means to fans around the world – so the cancellation was a real low point,” says series Co-Creator Rachel Larsen. “But honestly, it lit a fire under us. The cancellation pushed us to do whatever it took to keep Chef out there in the world.”
The result was an eclectic, energized year of incredible adventures. Tiny Chef campaigned and won an election as the new Mayor of Pioneertown, an enchanting, hamlet in Southern California’s High Desert that’s ripe with film/TV production history; the series added three more Emmy Awards to its growing mantle of trophies, bringing the total to five; the team collaborated with such well-known retailers as IKEA and Estée Lauder, allowing Tiny Chef to spotlight their key consumer products; Tiny Chef packed panel rooms at Comic-Con, WonderCon and the Hollywood Climate Summit; and Cheffy partnered with the California Academy of Sciences to create an enchanting planetarium film and a full exhibit space that celebrates “how tiny actions can make a big impact for our planet” (https://www.calacademy.org/exhibits/tiny-chef-big-impact).
“Finding our independent footing has been our biggest goal this year, while maintaining Chef’s core values and making the content Chef fans want (and deserve!) without resorting to shortcut tools like AI,” says Co-Creator Jason Kolowski.
The Tiny Chef Show website was also thoroughly revamped to offer easier, entertaining access for fans. The newly redesigned website (https://thetinychefshow.com/#thetinychef) has increased functionality, playful interactivity and enhanced merchandise options, including classic Tiny Chef offerings (talking plush toys, apparel and collectibles) and special, limited-edition Comic-Con-esque caps, shirts, plush and much more.
