Barco and Kinopolis Agree to 100% Laser Projection

This is great news for cinema fans.

Barco, a global leader in laser cinema, and Kinopolis, one of the largest cinema groups in Germany, have signed a four-year agreement to complete a 100% laser projection rollout across the chain’s mainstream screens. Building on a successful partnership established in 2022, this new deal includes the installation of 70+ Barco Series 4 (2K and 4K) laser projectors across 11 theater locations. 

The announcement comes as Kinopolis is being honored at CineEurope with the UNIC/Coca-Cola Retail Award for hospitality-led cinema at the newly opened cinema at Bad Homburg, as well as the ICTA Best New Build Cinema award for its innovative Hamburg HafenCity venue. The expanded partnership with Barco cements Kinopolis’s position as an industry leader dedicated to exceptional moviegoing experiences.
