Minions & Monsters Is A Comedy Gem Of Mayhem And Old Hollywood

The lovable and mischievous Minions are back in “Minions & Monsters” and bring loads of laughs and smiles with them.

When a tribe of Minions goes from Boss to Boss looking to serve an evil leader, they end up in 1920s Hollywood after mistaken an actor for a potential new boss.

Naturally their ability to leave chaos in their wake causes disruptions but introduces them to Director Max (Christoph Waltz).

Max uses the Minions in his films and watches them become hits; that is until the arrival of sound where their unique way of talking makes them unsuitable for the new style of acting.

After bring abandoned by the group, three Minions stay behind to make their film as the concept of a Minions & Monsters film is too good to pass up. Max encourages their aspirations but says the need for a monster will cost money they do not have.

This leads to the group conjuring a demon named Goomi (Trey Parker) who plots to use the Minions to free and summon larger allies to conquer the world.

At the same time, the other Minions find a Robotic being named Dort (Jessie Eisenberg) and are convinced he is the new leader that they seek.

The two stories unfold and combine after much comedic misadventures which delighted the audience young and old at our press screening.

The animation was sharp and the clever references to Hollywood old and new will be appreciated by older viewers while younger viewers will love the zany misadventures and charm of the Minions.

This was one of my favorites in the series as I have found that some have gone on a bit long or meandered longer than needed.

The jokes are fun and the characters are so engaging that you go along for the mischief and find yourself smiling throughout.

This is a perfect film for families as it offers something for everyone and looks to be another smash entry in the series.
