Godzilla Comes To Happy Color

This looks like something fans will love.

Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary, has partnered with Happy Color, one of the world’s leading color-by-number apps, for an official collaboration featuring Godzilla, starting with a collection of six iconic pictures inspired by one of the most colossal characters in entertainment history. The collection will be available on September 17, with more Godzilla content planned as part of the ongoing collaboration.

The collection reflects Happy Color’s mission to bring fans the stories, characters, and cultural icons they love. The Godzilla collaboration continues that vision, bringing the King of the Monsters into the Happy Color experience. Rather than focusing on a single version of the character, the collection celebrates Godzilla across different eras and artistic styles. From the original 1954 film debut to classic comic book adventures, each image invites fans to explore the many faces of the King of the Monsters through digital coloring. Together, the six pictures convey the immense power and enduring legacy of a true pop culture icon.

“From an artistic perspective, these were incredibly exciting images to work on,” says the Happy Color team. “Every composition is filled with movement, dramatic scale, and powerful energy. We wanted to capture Godzilla’s monumental presence while preserving the authentic look fans know and love. Every detail was carefully preserved to translate that epic feeling into a digital color-by-number experience.”

“This collaboration represents the intersection of pop culture, art, and lifestyle. It’s exciting to bring the Godzilla universe a new way to interact with Godzilla and in a way create their own version,” said Kristin Parcell, General Manager of Toho International. “This is a great way to continue the evolution of Godzilla and provides an opportunity to reimagine how fans engage with Godzilla beyond the screen.”

The Happy Color artists carefully preserved the authentic visual language of both the original film and classic comics throughout the collection. Each scene is enriched with intricate details to create an immersive color-by-number experience. Go to the Happy Color app and experience the many faces of Godzilla.
