eigoMANGA Heads To San Diego Comic-Con With NBA Star De’Aaron Fox
(San Jose, California) – July 12, 2022: eigoMANGA, a media company for publishing digital comics, animation, and games will showcase its productions at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2022. Comic-Con International: San Diego is the nation’s largest comic book, science fiction, and pop culture event, and will take place on July 21th–24th at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. eigoMANGA will be located at Booth #1802 in the Exhibit Hall.
eigoMANGA will team up with Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2022. Together they will exhibit and host panels that showcase their productions of comics, animation, games, and mobile apps; this includes De’Aaron’s basketball manga-influenced comic book “Swipa The Fox”.
De’Aaron Fox drafted 5th overall in the 2017 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings quickly rose to become the Kings’ franchise player and team leader. Fox will be signing autographs and meeting fans at eigoMANGA Booth #5532 on Saturday, July 23 from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM. He will also be on the “NBA Players Are Anime Fans Too” panel on Saturday from 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM in Room 6BCF.
The panel will discuss De’Aaron’s fandom for anime, and manga, and how it intertwines with his basketball career. Fox will be joined by his “Swipa The Fox” comic book creative team; together, they will discuss the fundamentals of writing comic books centered around basketball.
“Swipa The Fox” is a manga-influenced comic book about De’Aaron Fox accidentally venturing into a basketball video game while his video game avatar causes havoc in the real world. Fox has to harness all of his world-class basketball skills to play his way out of the digital game and return to reality.
eigoMANGA will also hold two live manga workshops at Comic-Con International: San Diego. On Thursday, July 19 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in Room 11, eigoMANGA will present a “How To Draw Manga” workshop. eigoMANGA editors will hold a tutorial workshop to teach the fundamentals of manga illustration and storytelling. They will also be on hand to critique portfolios from up-and-coming artists.
On Sunday, July 24 at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM also in Room 11, eigoMANGA will instruct a “Manga Tutorials for Kids” workshop. The workshop will be moderated by eigoMANGA’s team of manga artists and animators as they offer kids of all ages tutorials on manga illustrations and storytelling.
