Fan Expo Anaheim: Special Edition Reveals Headliner Mark Hamill

JUST ANNOUNCED: Celebrate 25 years of The Lord of the Rings with Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd as they reunite and remember their roles as the lovable Hobbits with an on-stage panel filled with behind-the-scenes stories.

An Evening with the Hobbits is part variety show, part storytelling session, and all fun. As this experience pops up at FAN EXPO HQ events across the country, no two nights will be the same — fans can expect a lively mix of behind-the-scenes memories, on-stage antics, heartfelt reflections and plenty of laughs along the way. From inside jokes and surprise moments to the friendships that still shine 25 years later, this one-of-a-kind event promises a joyful celebration. DATE: Sun., June 28, 4 p.m. PT (ticketed priority seating – ticket details HERE)

Additionally, the four as well as fellow cast mate John Rhys-Davies (“Gimli”) will be available through the three-day event for fan meet and greets, photos and autographs.

 

Fast follow as Star Wars fans celebrate “Revenge of the Fifth” today: Giancarlo Esposito, known for playing the infamous “Moff Gideon” in The Madalorian, will appear at FAN EXPO Anaheim: Special Edition on its weekend dates (June 27 and 28). Commanding fear across the Star Wars galaxy in his turn as a villain worthy of the legendary Darksaber, Esposito is also known for iconic roles in Breaking Bad, The Boys, Captain America: Brave New World, Better Call Saul, and more.

FAN EXPO Anaheim: Special Edition will make its Southern California debut with Mark Hamill headlining the event. Hamill — known worldwide for his iconic roles in Star Wars, animation, and video games —  will make a rare live appearance on stage to talk about his legendary career on opening day (June 26), and will meet fans at the event throughout the weekend through photo ops and autograph sessions. 

FAN EXPO HQ, the largest producer of comic con events in the world, brings together fans of movies, comics, anime, gaming, and more. FAN EXPO Anaheim: Special Edition is the company’s first Southern California event, happening at the Anaheim Convention Center Fri., June 26 through Sun., June 28, 2026.

Also announced to attend are: 

 

  • The Lord of the Rings actors who portrayed the lovable Hobbits: Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd.
  • Legendary voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, whose iconic rivals “Optimus Prime” and “Megatron” anchored the animated Transformers universe.
  • Comic creators including superhero super creators Paul Dini and Tom Ruegger.
  • More talent announcements to come.

Event tickets are on sale now, including single-day tickets, three-day passes, and VIP and Ultimate packages. A full schedule of programming and a roster of celebrity and creator guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
